What is a valid prescription to order contact lenses?
A valid prescription is one which is no more that 2 year old and has enough time still unexpired. So if your prescription has 3 months still unexpired you may order up to 3 months supply of lenses. You can either send us a copy of the prescription by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by post. If you do not send us your prescription, we will contact your contact lens practitioner. This is why we always ask for your practitioner's details.
You can not order online if you are either blind or partially sighted or are under 16 years of age. You hereby consent to our contacting your eyecare provider, if necessary, to verify your prescription information and any other necessary information.

Do you contact my optician when I order contact lenses?
Sometimes, yes. Under UK Law, you are must have a valid prescription to order contact lenses. We are obliged to ensure its validity. We are trying to make the process easier and we are installing a process that you can upload a prescription/specification to us. Such a form usually has all the information we want and we will not need to check the details. Your optician is required by law to give you a copy of the specification after completion of the fitting.

If you are short sighted (Myopic) or long-sighted (Hyperopic) then there is a file that will calculate the strength to order. The file is an XLS file, suitable for use in Microsoft Excel. There are no macros and should be compatible for most versions. These are currently to be found on the Goggle and Mask pages.
